• Ice cubes
• Plastic bag 
• Carpet cleaner

Having these tools will ensure the best outcome for removing any wax that is stuck in your carpet. The good news is that many of these tools are common to find within your household, meaning you probably already have them lying around!

Method #1: Using an Iron and Paper Towels

The first method we have to share with you today is how to remove wax from carpets using just an iron and a few paper towels. Follow the steps below to learn how:

Step 1: Scrape off Excess Wax

Use a butter knife or credit card to scrape off as much wax as possible from the carpet. Be gentle to avoid damaging the fibers.

Step 2: Apply Heat to the Wax Stain

Place a paper towel over the wax stain and set your iron to the lowest heat setting. Gently iron over the paper towel for a few seconds, being careful not to burn the carpet.

Step 3: Blot Away the Wax Stain

Remove the paper towel and check if the wax has transferred to it. If so, place a new paper towel over the wax stain and repeat the ironing process until the wax is completely gone.

Step 4: Clean the Area with a Carpet Cleaner

The last step is to apply a carpet cleaner to the area to remove any remaining residue and dirt. This step is not necessary for removing the wax; just to help you clean up any residue. With that said, it is okay if you do not own a carpet cleaner.
